The Luxembourgish Society of General and Comparative Literature (SLLGC) was founded in 1980.
Aiming to promote an awareness of the potential for comparative studies in Luxembourg’s multilingual and multicultural environment, the society approaches literature in an interdisciplinary frame across genres and boundaries. We explore intersections with visual arts, architecture, philosophy, cultural studies, music, anthropology, literary theory, politics etc.
The society organizes readings, lectures, conferences. Among our publications, the annual Revue luxembourgeoise de littérature générale et comparée is the most important.
